How to give back? Often, as the years pass, it's not so much a question of what one can make for themselves, but how to give back to the world at large.
For two individuals, their intimate experience with an aging population faced with the question, "Who will take care of me when I can't take care of myself?," brought them to form Evergreen Care Providers. "My own experience showed me that there was a real need for someone to help the elderly or families in need to find the best resources for those who need day to day care or assistance," says Miguel.
Miguel Ortin had seen the problem first hand while attending nursing school and working as a Caregiver. He personally witnessed the plight of these seniors who needed day-to-day care and assistance and; consistently, he listened to seniors lament about the inadequate service they were receiving from most of the Home Care agencies.
Irma DeWeese had been bitten by the lack of information, quality and truly concerned Caregivers , when dealing with her aging parents. Herself a Clinical Psychology graduate and a natural born caregiver, she wanted to do something to make it easier for people looking for help. Her many years of being a corporate executive did not stop her from pursuing her great passion for caring and helping other people; especially for older people who don't have the assistance of someone like herself in the family.
In 2005 Miguel and Irma joined together to pursue their common passion and interest. Together, their personal experiences with Home Care Agencies prompted them to start up a company to make a difference for folks by being more personally involved in the care of clients. Hence, the founding of Evergreen Care Providers, Inc.
